Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said the workshop was a good opportunity to comprehensively review the two countries’ economic partnership agreements.

He reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy of prioritizing the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, including win-win economic cooperation.
"China is one of Vietnam’s biggest partners with great potential for cooperation in capital resources, technology, markets, and tourism. Over recent years, bilateral economic cooperation has strongly developed," Mr. Minh said, adding: "China is Vietnam’s biggest partner in trade and tourism and ranks 8th among foreign investors in Vietnam. China is also Vietnam’s most important market for farm produce and a supplier of input materials at competitive prices. Vietnam has become China’s largest trading partner in ASEAN”, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh said.

The two-day workshop attracted more than 100 delegates including administrators, and representatives from research institutes, universities and business associations.
