(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Youth Union members play a vital role in national development and defense, said Pham Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Vietnamese Party Committee in Russia.

At a Sunday meeting in Moscow to celebrate the union’s 84^th founding anniversary, Vinh said he believes that young Vietnamese people, no matter where they are, will continue to contribute to national development.  He said: “The Youth Union will organize various activities this year to mark the 125^th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh who had great influence on the development of the Youth Union and Vietnamese young people. On behalf of the Vietnamese Party Committee in Russia, I wish you all the best and hope you’ll do your utmost to further your contributions to the development of the Party and Vietnam.”
On this occasion, 13 collectives and 161 outstanding individuals were awarded certificates of merit for their contributions to youth union activities in 2014.
