ASEAN great unity days promote regional connectivity

(VOVworld) – The “ASEAN great unity days, one vision, one identity, one community” will take place at the Vietnam National Village of Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi from November 21 to 23. The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will convene the Vietnam embassies of ASEAN countries and 200 representatives of Vietnamese ethnic groups from across Vietnam. The event was created to promote a mutual understanding and connectivity between ASEAN members and contribute to building an ASEAN Community of unity, dynamism, and development. Bui Hang reports:

This event will introduce the tourism potential, land, culture, and people of Vietnam and other ASEAN countries. Lam Van Khang, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Village of Ethnic Culture and Tourism, said: “The activities will introduce the cultural heritages and traditional sports of ASEAN countries. The cultural traditions of Vietnamese ethnic groups will also be featured during the event.”

A Thut of Ba Na ethnicity from Kon Tum province said: “We were in France for a gong performance in July and now we are happy to be performing in this program. We will do our best to introduce our unique culture to other ethnic groups”.

Artists and artisans from across Vietnam will introduce Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritages. An exchange of traditional arts by the Vietnam embassies of ASEAN countries will also be held. Mr. Lam Van Khang said: “One vision, one identity, one community is a declaration by ASEAN. We are organizing this event to introduce the cultures of ASEAN countries so as to strengthen mutual understanding and connectivity, contributing to building a united, dynamic and developed ASEAN Community.”
