The “Go Green” was established in May, 2008 as a young volunteers’ club. They used to organize trans-national riding tours through different places to get involved in social work, especially supporting families of the victims of Agent Orange Dioxin. With its 300 members at the beginning, Go Green now has tens of thousands of members and opened branches in almost all cities and provinces. They assist poor pupils, organize general computer training courses, and communicate on traffic safety, drug prevention and control, and violence in school. Le Thanh Nam, founder of the Go Green, says: "2011 was the first year we have changed from transnational riding to walking tour. We successfully organized a tour with 1,000 walkers, and various activities with the involvement of 100,000 people. During the journey, we opened 5 computer rooms in 5 provinces, and granted 48 laptops to poor students and 1,000 gifts to the victims of Agent Orange/ Dioxin."

The transnational walking journey last year, which marked the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek ways to save the nation, generated positive effect in society. The volunteers traversed through 16 provinces to remote places to teach computer and deliver gifts to disadvantaged people. They re-painted schools, clear rubbish along the beaches, and communicate about environmental protection and traffic safety. Tran Thanh Tuyen, a student of the Hanoi Economics University, shares her feeling: "I was very moved to participate in the journey. I could walk a long way from the central province of Nghe An to Ho Chi Minh city. I felt the energy and enthusiasm of youth."

The transnational journey rallied not only students but also artists who are Ambassadors of Trust including musician Nguyen Cuong and Emeritus Artist Quynh Lien. The Go Green has organized 4 transnational tours so far. The organization and its activities are opportunities for all people, especially the young to contribute to society while gaining experience and making friends.
