(VOVworld) – The 2015 Thai Nguyen tea festival opened on Thursday. More than 100 Vietnamese tea enterprises, cooperatives, and trade villages and 67 delegations from tea-producing countries including Japan, Russia, India, and the Republic of Korea are participating in the festival.

Activities held at the Vietnam Ethnic Cultures Museum in Thai Nguyen within the framework of the festival, include a tea-drying competition and a “tea master cup” contest. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke at the opening ceremony: “I believe that the Party, administration, and people of Thai Nguyen province will develop Thai Nguyen into an industrial, economic, cultural, and educational center of the northern midland region. This will contribute significantly to national construction and defense.”
