Art program raises funds to support HIV/AIDS patients

(VOVworld) – An art program was held in Hanoi on Thursday to mark 25 years of HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Vietnam and Vietnam’s national month of action for HIV/AIDS prevention and control. The program acknowledged the contributions of generous individuals and organizations to HIV/AIDS prevention and control. Nguyen Van Suu, Vice chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, said: “We should not discriminate against HIV carriers, but continue to support them. We should work harder to achieve the target of no new HIV infections and no casualties due to HIV toward eliminating AIDS in Vietnam by 2030.”

The program raised 350,000 USD to support HIV/AIDS patients. 15 savings books were given to 15 disadvantaged HIV child patients in 8 provinces and cities.
