Colorful activities to mark International Volunteer Day in Vietnam

(VOVworld) – More than 700 volunteers took part in the 2nd “International Volunteer Day” held by the Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union on Sunday. This year’s event features various activities including presenting gifts to patients, the elderly and children at social protection centers, organizing regular volunteer activities in the city’s 10 social protection centers, and taking part in blood donation campaigns.

A total of 200 blood units was donated on Sunday morning. Phan Thi Ha, a student of University of Labor and Social Affairs, said: "Today is really a big day for participating volunteers. I’m very happy that I can help disadvantaged people. Let’s join hands to give less fortune people a better future."
