International cooperation at local level promotes Vietnam’s international integration

(VOVworld)- A workshop to boost international cooperation at local levels opened in Hanoi on Wednesday attracting more than 150 delegates. Addressing the event which was organized by the Foreign Ministry, the Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said the workshop created an opportunity for the delegates to discuss opportunities and challenges as well as recommendations to boost international cooperation at local levels. Mr. Son said:“It is necessary to strengthen external relations and international cooperation at local levels will help mobilize external resources for local and national development. It will also enhance Vietnam’s international integration”.
In his address, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank in Vietnam Tomiyuki Kimuara expressed his hope that the workshop would help the delegates better understand ways to enhance international development cooperation in line with local development.
