Dong highlighted the importance of building a legal system on Vietnam’s biodiversity: "It’s necessary to upgrade our legal system to protect Vietnam’s biodiversity, step up efforts in implementing the Law on Biodiversity and the national strategy on biodiversity until 2020 with a vision to 2030. Better state management of biodiversity from local to central levels is required, while international cooperation and public involvement is also needed."
