All schools nationwide begin the 2015-2016 academic year on September 5, 2015.

Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, Le Hong Anh, attended a ceremony at Nguyen Trung Truc upper secondary school in Kien Giang province. “The Party committee, local authority, and organizations should pay more attention to and provide practical support for the provincial education sector. I urge Kien Giang province’s educational management agencies to take advantage of social resources to boost educational development.”

Mr. Le Hong Anh beats the drum to begin the new academic year

Mr. Anh gave 300 scholarships totaling 15,000 USD to excellent students at Nguyen Trung Truc school.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh attended a new school year ceremony at Cam Pha upper secondary school in Quang Ninh province. He expressed his hope that students and educational staff of Quang Ninh province would fulfill their tasks in the new academic year. Minh presented school teachers and students 5,000 USD.

Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi participated in a ceremony at the Hanoi-Amsterdam upper secondary in Hanoi. He talked at the event: “The school should further promote its advantages of good infrastructure, modern facilities, and professional teachers and improve the quality of teaching and learning.”

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan attended a new academic year ceremony at Nguyen Hue primary school in My Tho city, Tien Giang province and gave the school several teaching and learning materials.
