(VOVworld)-Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday issued a Decree on mobilizing all people to participate in defending territorial sovereignty and border security.

Accordingly, the People’s Committees of border and coastal cities and provinces have to work with the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to organize movements mobilizing organizations, households and individuals to participate in defending territorial sovereignty and maintain security along the borders. The Prime Minister asks the Defense Ministry to direct the Border Soldiers, Marine Police and Naval forces to work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to facilitate fishermen in offshore fishing and assist the rescue work. The Ministry of National Defense will also work with the Ministry of Public Security to promote the movements of all people participating in maintaining national defense and law and order along the borders.
