Glenn said that Vietnam’s CCI surveyed by ANZ in 7 major cities is 131 points, up 7.7 points from last month. The current index is higher than the 2014 average index up to present, which is at 130.5. The increase is attributed to improved confidence in Vietnamese people’s personal financial situations. Survey results indicated that 32% of people questioned said that their families’ finances were better than the previous year, while 49% expected positive financial change in the next 12 months.

Experts agreed that Vietnam is currently a middle income country and is developing faster than any other country in Asia. The combination of stronger economic growth, an abundant labor force, and labor efficiency have all contributed to promoting strong growth among Vietnamese consumers.
