(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-hosted a press conference to launch a campaign “Exciting Vietnam: Vietnam – a safe, friendly, and attractive destination”. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan said: “The campaign aims to introduce both Vietnamese people and foreigners to Vietnam’s tourist attractions and quality. We aim to lure more foreign tourists to Vietnam and boost inbound tourism among Vietnamese people.”

The Exciting Vietnam campaign, which will be implemented in the second half of the year, consists of a trip for Vietnamese and foreign media to visit key tourist sites and activities to enhance cooperation with regional travel agencies to organize extended tours for tourists and launch promotional programs.

Katherine Muller Marin, UNESCO Chief Representative in Vietnam, told VOV on the sidelines of the press conference: “The tourists they do want to come and see these beautiful places. They do want to visit Ha Long Bay, Trang An, and Hue. They should see other places as well. It’s because they have a unique outstanding and universal value which means they have value for the world not only for Vietnam. We should invite people to come and see and enjoy them.”

After the news conference, a delegation of international journalists and representatives of travel agencies from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Russia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore began a tour of Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh city, and Tien Giang to visit scenic spots there.
