Vietnamese Ambassador to the Francophone, Nguyen Thiep,
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Francophone, Nguyen Thiep, said the art show will help local people and overseas Vietnamese in New Caledonia learn more about Vietnam’s cultural identities: “ The water puppetry art is unique to the northern delta culture, reflecting rice cultivation and festivities in the delta. The art has lived on for thousands of years with pristine techniques. This will help the local Vietnamese community understand more of their ancestor’s cultural diversity.”
