Vietnam proposes measures to eliminate wildlife trafficking - ảnh 1
(VOVworld) – To mark World Wildlife Day on March 3, the UN has appealed for the young generations to get involved in protecting wild animals. Missions of Vietnam, the UK, Botswana, Thailand, Gemany, Gabon and UN agencies held a sideline event to mark the Day.
Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, head of the Vietnam Mission to the UN, put forwards proposals for UN members to combat wildlife trafficking and eliminate illegal wildlife markets.
The proposals focused on how to reduce consumption demand, enhance communication programs to improve public awareness on the impacts on wildlife hunting and trade, and cooperation among countries and international organizations.
