Vietnam welcomes 3.2 million foreign tourists in first quarter of 2017

(VOVworld) – More than 3.2 million foreign tourists came to Vietnam in the first quarter of this year, up 29% against the same period last year, announced the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on Tuesday.

Vietnam aims to receive 11.5 million foreign arrivals and 66 million domestic tourists, earning more than 20 billion USD this year.

Since the beginning of this year, the Vietnamese hospitality industry has increased its promotion and cooperation activities abroad.

In March, Vietnam participated in the ASEAN-China Tourism Cooperation Year 2017 in the Philippines and the International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, one of the world’s biggest tourism fairs, in Moscow.
