(VOVworld) - Leaving behind the city’s chaos and dust, we arrived at Ba Be Lake in Bac Kan. Tourists prefer staying in the Tay ethnic group’s wooden stilt houses which lie on the mountain foot and face a magnificent stream.

(VOVworld)- K’Ho is the oldest ethnic group in the southern central highlands. Previously, they lived mainly in high mountains and their lives were quite isolated. This might be one of the reasons for many of their traditions and customs being remained until today.

(VOVworld) – With around 1.7 million people, the Tay are the biggest ethnic minority group in Vietnam. They live mainly in Vietnam’s northern and northwestern provinces - Cao Bang, Bac Can, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, and Lao Cai. They live along rivers in mountain foothills.

(VOVworld) – The Thai ethnic group lives mainly in Vietnam’s northern and north-central regions in Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Nghe An, and Thanh Hoa province. The Thai people have their own language, which belongs to the Tay-Thai language system. They build their wooden stilt houses in large fields, in the foothills of the mountains.
