VOV Director General visits VOV evacuation site in Bac Can

(VOVworld)-VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien on Monday visited VOV evacuation site in Na Phong Cave, Nam Mau commune, Ba Be District, Bac Can province. This was the radio evacuation shelter during Vietnam's  struggle against the French colonialists. The Director General said that the relic site will be restored to promote revolutionary education and pay tribute to ethnic people in the area: “Radio Voice of Vietnam was an efficient weapon through its Party guideline communications against foreign invasion. Radio practitioners at that time overcame all difficulties to carry out their political tasks, so that the people could listen to VOV broadcasts. This formulated a staunch will to defeat the enemy. The relic site should be preserved and developed for younger generations to learn from the glorious history of our national construction and defense.

On this occasion, VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien visited and presented gifts to Nguyen Van Viet in Bo Lu hamlet, Nam Mau commune, Ba Be district. Viet is the man who found the location  of VOV evacuation shelter during the anti-French war of resistance.
