Composer Onishi Susumu was pleased to return to Vietnam after nearly 50 years: “I am delighted to return to Vietnam and sing songs about Vietnam. This is my life-long wish. It is great to meet many young Vietnamese who speak Japanese. I hope that we will join efforts for a world of peace.”

At the event, the Japanese artists sang songs of the 1960s and 1970s which oppose war, cherish peace, and praise the Vietnam-Japan friendship.
