(VOVworld) – A report by VOV journalist Vu Hoai My featuring a Russian girl who acted in a film about the battle of Dien Bien Phu won a special prize in the contest ‘Let’s innovate’ by the Voice of Russia.

The report beat out 2,000 other entries from 19 countries and 49 regions in Russia. An award ceremony in Sochi last weekend presented 9 prizes and 15 special awards in three media genres. It was part of activities for the 8^th meeting of the ‘Russian World Foundation’. The 3-day meeting, which concluded on Tuesday, was the Foundation’s biggest activity of the year and commemorated national solidarity day. The annual event promotes the cultural and historical heritage of the Russian Civilization. This year’s meeting drew more than 800 delegates from 80 countries and territories.
