VOV’s stele inaugurated at Tram cave on the outskirts of Hanoi

(VOVworld) – The Voice of Vietnam has planted a stele at Tram cave in Chuong My district on the outskirts of Hanoi, VOV’s first evacuation place during the resistance against French colonialists. This was part of activities to celebrate VOV’s 70th anniversary on September 7. It was here in 1947 that President Ho Chi Minh read a new year poem to Vietnamese people and soldiers nationwide via the Voice of Vietnam. VOV President Nguyen Dang Tien said: “During a visit to VOV, President Ho Chi Minh said that the Voice of Vietnam is an important tool of the Party and government to encourage the people in our resistance, during which the enemy tries to isolate us from the outside world. VOV staff must do whatever it takes to keep the voice of the Party and goverment in all circumstances. Over the last 70 years, VOV staff have always kept in mind President Ho Chi Minh’s words and we have become a multimedia agency operating 4 media formats: radio, television, print, and online.”
