(VOVworld)- The first session of the 14^th National Assembly has ended. It reflects the NA deputies’ determination to promote solidarity and creativity and work for the people and their interests, honor, and national pride and for sustainable national development. The outcomes of the meeting have been widely applauded by the public.

1st session of the 14th NA full of expectation

At the meeting, the NA discussed personnel work and elected the State President and key leaders of the National Assembly, government, and the National Defense and Security Council. Le Van Hung is a voter from Kon Tum city: “The oath speeches by the National Assembly Chairman, the State President, and the Prime Minister reflect people’s expectations. I believe that we will successfully implement our 5-year plan under the Resolution of the 12^th National Party Congress. I hope that the central highlands in particular will expand forest plantation, successfully implement socio-economic development plans, and improve people’s lives”.

Dong Van Ngoc, a voter in Hanoi, said that at its 1^st session, the 14^th National Assembly decided a number of major issues of concern to the public: “The National Assembly was resolute to improve its activities. It worked out a number of solutions to the environment and the new government is determined to implement them.

NA deputies said the election of key positions was conducted in a democratic, careful, and fair manner. Huynh Cao Nhat is a deputy for Binh Dinh province: “I believe that the new apparatus will lead the people to implement the Party guidelines and state policies and laws. I hope each leader will fulfill their promise before the National Assembly and the voters.”

The first session of the 14^th NA demonstrated the NA’s important role in legislation and deciding major national issues.
