More new air routes linking Vietnam and the world

(VOVworld)-Scores of carriers are opening new air routes to and from Vietnam to meet increasing travel demand.

Vietjet Air has announced a new route between Hanoi and Singapore, starting on April 27. The new flight will operate daily and last just under 3 hours. Hanoi is the second Vietnamese city to be connected by Vietjet with Singapore after HCM City. The airline also plans a new service between Da Nang city and Seoul of South Korea as from late May. It recently opened the Hanoi-Siem Riep and HCM city-Taichung (China) routes.

Jetstar Pacific launched a direct air link from Da Nang to Hong Kong in March and will operate direct flights between Dong Hoi in central Vietnam and Chiang Mai of Thai Land. Jetstar Australia will begin routes from Sydney and Melbourne to HCM city in May.

Vietnam Airlines in March opened the Hanoi-Sydney route, the national flag carrier’s third air link between Vietnam and Australia. South Korea’s T’way Air has put into operation a service linking Daegu and Da Nang while the UAE’s Emirates will operate a daily direct flight connecting Hanoi and Dubai.
