Thanh Cong, a reporter for Dai Doan Ket (Great Unity) newspaper says he often visits Moc Chau at the year-end just to take snap shots of the flowers there. “Moc Chau is beautiful all year round, but at this time of the year, tourists find the beauty of Moc Chau particularly stunning. The landscape is covered with a wide variety of flowers and down in the valleys, there are white mustard flowers and peach blossoms. In the weeks before Tet, there are vast forests of blossoming plum trees, especially around Kia Cave, Paco, and Tan Lap, where the white plum flowers are so numerous that they are like snow blanketing the valleys”, said Cong.

December is month that white mustard flowers bloom. The fields and hillsides around Moc Chau are covered with white mustard flowers, but the most beautiful area is beyond the Ban Ang pine forest. Dozens of hectares of white mustard flowers blend with pink peach flowers and green pine trees to create breathtaking scene. Phuong Thao who works for a travel company in Hanoi says: “I was extremely impressed by the landscape of mustard flowers in Moc Chau. Working for a travel company gives me many opportunities to explore beautiful landscapes and learn about local cultures. I decided to develop tours of Moc Chau flowers to let my clients experience the region, its landscape, culture and people”.
