(VOVworld) – The Hanoi Collective Orchestra performed for the second time at the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam in Hanoi, on July 17^th. The event was an art project in which participants created “instruments” using everyday materials such as bamboo sticks, plastic pipes, balloons, plastic bottles, and jars, and then  performed as part of an impromptu orchestra. This year, the instrument-making workshop was led by Otomo Yoshihide, a Japanese musician, Suzuki Akio, a sound artist, and several other facilitators from Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan.

VOV captured some moments from the audience-participation, improvisational performance of the Hanoi Collective Orchestra. 

The free-admission event attracted a large number of participants, with and without a music background.
