Tam Giac Mach (buckwheat) flowers are considered a typical feature of Ha Giang province thanks to its simple yet beautiful nature.
The purple and pink colours of the flowers enthrall visitors.
Buckwheat flowers are coming into full bloom in both the valley and the mountain side
During base period, buckwheat flowers are an essential food for locals in Ha Giang.
The flowers often bloom for a short time in late October and early November.
Tourists can travel the 350 km from the My Dinh Bus station in Hanoi to Ha Giang City.
Must-visit destinations in which to enjoy buckwheat flowers in bloom include Thach Son Than paddy field in Quyet Tien commune, Quan Ba district, Pho Bang town in Dong Van district and Lung Cu flag tower.

Tam Giac Mach fields in Ma Lau hamlet, Ma Le commune on the way to Lung Cu flag tower also impress tourists with its winding roads lined with beautiful flowers.
Visitors can experience local life at homestays in Dong Van and Meo Vac.
Local specialties also attract large numbers of visitors.
Quan Ba twin mountains, Lung Cu flag tower, Ma Pi Leng mountain pass, Dong Van ancient city and Meo Vac market are all interesting destinations for visitors.
The Ha Giang buckwheat festival is set to take place on November 3 and will have a diverse range of cultural activities and folk games to enjoy.
