Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve recognized as Vietnam's ninth Ramsar site

(VOVWORLD) - The Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve in the northern province of Ninh Binh has been recognized as Vietnam’s ninth Ramsar site. The reserve is now the 2,360th Ramsar site in the world.

Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve recognized as Vietnam's ninth Ramsar site - ảnh 2 80 km south of Hanoi, Van Long is the largest Wetland Nature Reserve in the Red River Delta.

Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve recognized as Vietnam's ninth Ramsar site - ảnh 4 Boasting an area of 2,734 ha, its signature features as a natural wet land remain untouched. Van Long is surrounded by 3 rivers: the Day, the Hoang Long, and the Boi.

Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve recognized as Vietnam's ninth Ramsar site - ảnh 6 Van Long is dubbed as “Ha Long Bay without waves”. It has nearly 100 stunning caves. Tourists can relax on a boat and enjoy the scenery.
