(VOVworld) - Timor Leste President Matan Ruak has praised his government and people’s efforts in national sovereignty building for peace, democracy and rule of law over the past 14 years.

He was addressed the 14^th anniversary of the Timor Leste’s independence restoration on May 20. Timor Leste is accelerating is bid to join the ASEAN, considering it a priority.
