2019 ASEAN+3 Song Contest semi-final: a colorful music feast

(VOVWORLD) - The ASEAN+3 Song Contest semi-final round on Saturday night in Ha Long City offered the audience a feast of music.

Contestants from 10 ASEAN countries brought to the show 22 performances in praise of their motherland, people, and landscapes. Phan Van Luc, one of the audience of Ha Long City:  "All the performances were well prepared and the contestants sang with all their hearts and souls. Moreover, the organizers did pay a great attention to the lightning and sound systems, making the show really a feast of music. I was very impressed with the song “Listen” of Malaysian singer Rosario."

The contest’s jury board which consists of renowned musicians and singers of Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, have selected 10 best contestants to the final round. Singer Aicelle Santos of the Philippines told VOV: "I’m very happy. Ahead of my flight to Vietnam, I had an accident and got injured in my leg. Fortunately I could perform on stage without having to sit on wheelchair. Tonight I sang a song I composed called “Still you” in the Filipino language to praise faithfulness in love. I was super happy to see the audience enjoy my performance."

In addition to Aicelle Santos, 9 other singers made to the final round include Y Marineth of Cambodia, Soukthavy Southamavong of Laos, Sateanpong Klatang of Thailand, Olivia Christina of Indonesia, Ng Zhen Long Desmond of Singapore, Mohd Naqib Hafizuddin Bun Zulfikri of brunei, Eint Chit of Myanmar, Rosario Nnih Chamini Bianis of Malaysia, and Tran Thi Hong Nhung of Vietnam.

The final round will take place on Sunday night at Ha Long City and broadcast live on VOV3 and VOV247 broadcasting channels, and other VOV television channels, including Vietnam Journey TV and VTC1.
