The AIPA-37 listened to reports by the Committee on Women Parliamentarians and Committees on Political Matters, Economic Matters, Social Matters, and Organizational Matters and adopted the reports presented at the committee meetings.

During the meeting, the General Assembly approved the three resolutions proposed by Vietnam.

They include a resolution on strengthening cooperation in climate change adaptation within ASEAN to enhance the people’s awareness of climate change, a resolution on increased harmonization of laws within ASEAN, consideration to approve the 2015 Paris Agreement, and implementation of procedures to build a legal system that matches commitments by ASEAN and the world on climate change adaptation.

After endorsing 25 resolutions, heads of delegations, including Tran Van Giau, Head of Vietnam’s National Assembly’s Committee for External Relations, signed a joint communiqué.
