4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of Vietnam Red Cross Society

(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan attended the 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Red Cross Society on Tuesday. He asked the Society to continue disseminating among its affiliates Party guidelines and policies on emulation and rewards and promoting humanitarian programs in the community. He said: “The Society should continue to renew its emulation movements to match the socio-economic development of each locality. It should also continue to support vulnerable groups in society.”

The Ministry of Education and Training marked its 60th anniversary and organized its 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress on the same day. Vietnam now has more than 23 million students and 1 million teachers. Minister Pham Vu Luan said: “From now to 2020 the education sector should continue to reform and organize patriotic emulation movements in order to create practical changes.”
