4th session of 14th NA Standing Committee closes, 2nd NA session to open

(VOVworld) – The 4th session of the 14th National Assembly’s Standing Committee closed on Tuesday after discussions on the revised Law on investment and businesses and the draft resolution of the National Assembly on piloting the issuance of electronic visas to foreigners upon their entry into Vietnam. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that after nearly 6 days of working, the Standing Committee had discussed the whole agenda of the 4th session. She called for the prompt compilation of reports to be submitted to the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly.

At a press conference in Hanoi on Tuesday, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Secretary General and Head of the National Assembly Office, said the 2nd session of the legislature will open on October 20 and close on November 23. The year-end session will look at socio-economic issues, deliberate on 4 draft laws, 1 resolution and comment on 12 other laws and 1 resolution: “The upcoming session will facilitate debates. Ministers will deliver their reports directly and answer deputies’ questions. By raising a banner, a deputy will be enabled to directly involve in a debate.”
