50th anniversary of ASEAN establishment marked

He made the remarks at a ceremony in HCM City on Tuesday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN, attended by senior officials of local governments and diplomats from ASEAN countries.
People in Ho Chi Minh City enjoyed art lighting and 3D graphics performances at the city’s Thong Nhat Conference Hall, the Sai Gon Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh museum, the Central Post Office, and the People’s Committee Head Office. In Da Nang, a video reviewing ASEAN's first 50 years was shown.
In Hanoi, the Vietnam General Post Office under the Ministry of Information and Communications launched a stamp collection entitled “50th anniversary of ASEAN's establishment”. The collection, themed “National flowers”, includes stamps with images of lotus flowers against a background of bronze drums and the logo “ASEAN Post”. The stamps depicting Vietnamese culture and spirit were designed by painter To Minh Trang.
