(VOVworld) – 65 businesses were honored with 2014 National Quality Awards at a ceremony that opened in Hanoi on Sunday. Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan spoke at the award ceremony: "I hope the awarded businesses will continue to increase their products and services’ quality by paying more attention to research and development activities to further promote their positions in national and international markets. I also call for stronger unity among Vietnamese businesses to increase our domestic businesses’ competitiveness worldwide."

The annual awards were first launched in 1996 to honor enterprises with excellent goods and services and who have made significant contributions to the national socio-economic development.
