(VOVWORLD) - The 6th International Food Festival opened in Hanoi on Sunday drawing the participation of foreign embassies and culture centers in the city.

More than 130 booths were set up at the festival to introduce culinary cultures of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Brazil. Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, Honorary President of the ASEAN Women Group in Hanoi, said: “ The festival has become more popular in the last five years with the number of 54 booths in 2014 increasing to more than 130 this year. During the festival, we raised funds to help children with disability, orphans, and the elderly.”
During the last 5 festivals, more than 77,000 USD have been raised to help disadvantaged people.
