98th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution marked in Ho Chi Minh City

(VOVworld) - The 98th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution, on November 7th, was marked at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday.

The ceremony was jointly organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association (VRFA) and the liaison board of Vietnamese alumni at Russian universities. The success of the Russian October Revolution was significant to Vietnam and created a solid foundation for the long-lasting friendship between the two nations. Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the VRFA, Nguyen Huu Thanh, said: “The Russian October Revolution had a great influence on Vietnam’s August Revolution. The Russians have provided great support to the Vietnamese people, contributing to the success of Vietnam’s national liberation”.
