(VOVworld) - ActionAid International Vietnam has provided nearly 900,000 USD for developing sustainable livelihoods in Long Phu district, Soc Trang province, in the past decade.

The organization and local authorities focus on developing sustainable livelihood models, enhancing gender equality and women rights, improving children’s learning and living conditions, promoting authorities’ accountability, offering training on disaster adaption and climate change mitigation, and enhancing HIV/AIDS prevention. Vu Minh Duc of ActionAid expressed his hope that experience and models developed by the program will be promoted to other districts of Soc Trang province to reduce poverty successfully and sustainably.
