Activities to help poor people enjoy a happy Tet
(VOVworld) – The first 60 buses started their journeys on Saturday at the Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Cultural House to take poor students home free of charge as the lunar New Year approaches. This is part of a program entitled “Spring buses for Tet reunion”, to help less fortunate people to return home to welcome Tet. The program also offers 5000 free tickets for disadvantaged students and workers, as well as disabled people, to travel home from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

A program called “Tet reunion” was held by Phu Tho province’s Labour Confederation on Friday for 200 disadvantaged workers. Deputy Chairwoman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Thi Thu Hong said this program has been expanded nationwide to ensure a happy Tet for every worker. More than 30 provincial Labour Confederations across Vietnam have organized “Tet reunion” program for their workers to welcome the lunar New Year 2016.
