(VOVworld) – Various activities are taking place nationwide in response to the 2^nd Vietnam Book Day on April 21^st. A book festival, themed "Books in the past and present", opened Friday in Hanoi’s Thong Nhat Park, featuring 150 bookstalls from 100 publishing houses.

Many side events are being held at the festival including seminars, exchanges and talks with the participation of researchers and managers in the publishing sector. The publications are of various genres and include children’s books, books on literature, economics, science and technology, e-books and books in foreign languages. They will be sold at discounted prices for visitors.
