Activities underway to mark May Day and Workers’ Month

(VOVworld)- More than 250 trade union members in Phu Yen province on Wednesday attended a ceremony to launch Workers’ Month 2014 and celebrate the 128th International Workers’ Day. During this month trade unions in Phu Yen aim to step up communications on the Constitution, Party and State policies and laws to workers and laborers.On the same day, Tuyen Quang Labor Confederation launched Workers’ Month with activities to ensure enterprises’ sustainable development.
In Dak Lak province, in Workers’ Month, trade unions at various levels honored outstanding examples in production. Tran Tuan Anh is President of Dak Lak province’s Labor Confederation: “We have launched a patriotic emulation movement among civil servants and workers. We encourage employers to ensure stable incomes for employees. We also aim to set up trade union organizations and strengthen their activities”.
Hung Yen province has launched several activities to protect the rights and interests of workers and trade union members in response to Workers’ Month 2014.
