(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang has urged the firemen to increase research and application of advanced technology in fire prevention and rescue efforts.

President Tran Dai Quang confers Order of National Defense, first class, to Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force

President Quang was speaking at a ceremony on Sunday in Hanoi to mark the 55^th Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force on October 4. He urged the force to take initiative in analyzing and forecasting and consult with the Party and State about related policies. The President said exemplary models should be replicated to involve the people in the fight against fire and called for vigilance against the risks of fire due to the ongoing dry weather, drought, and climate change.
