The Diplomat wrote that Vietnam has one again proved its diplomatic skills in balancing the two world power houses of China and the US to ensure Vietnam’s national interests by achieving two joint statements with China and the US separately.

The New Strait Times has an article by Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, Mustapa Mohammed, saying that many countries, including Malaysia could learn from Vietnam in its hosting of the APEC Year this year.

The Independent praised Vietnam’s contribution to the regional inclusive growth, especially its initiatives to promote economic, social and financial development in the region.
