ASEAN Foreign Ministers call for restraint in the East Sea

(VOVworld)- At the 13th ASEAN Political Security Community Conference in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, ASEAN Foreign Ministers reiterated their call for involved parties to restrain in the East Sea.

Speaking at a press conference, Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, said the ministers reiterated the importance of maintaining peace, security, stability, and maritime freedom in the East Sea. They expressed their deep concern and urged all parties to restrain, fully implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and soon establish the Code of Conduct in the East Sea. The Malaysian Foreign Minister called for cautious and resolute solutions to the fight against terrorism. In his address at the conference earlier, Mr. Anifar offered condolences to families of the victims in the terror attacks in Paris last Friday.
