(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Information and Communications launched the ASEAN Vietnam portal in Hanoi on Monday. With three official domains at aseanvietnam.vn, vietnamasean.vn and asean.vietnam.vn, the portal will provide information related to ASEAN’s management and the activities of ASEAN’s Information and Communications Steering Committee.

It will also introduce ASEAN member countries and serve as a database for ASEAN. Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son addressed the launch ceremony: “Together with the establishment of the ASEAN community, cooperation between ASEAN member countries has been expanded and tightened towards the sustainable development of the ASEAN community which is united for the sake of each country and the whole community’s interests. The ASEAN Vietnam portal plays an important role in promoting communications and raising awareness about ASEAN, encouraging citizens and businesses to join efforts to develop ASEAN into a community of peace, development and prosperity”.
