Australia invests 77.5 million USD in agricultural research projects in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Australia will continue to share its experience in agricultural study and production with Vietnam, said Professor Andrew Campbell, CEO of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).

Addressing at a fair in Hanoi on Wednesday marking the 25th founding anniversary of the centre, Mr. Campbell said his center will keep working with Vietnam in marketing, food safety and quality control, water conservation, forest management, and aquaculture.

According to the Australian Embassy, over the past 25 years, the Australian government has invested 77.5 million USD in 170 agricultural research projects in Vietnam, helping improve capacity for many local researchers.

Products of agricultural cooperation projects between Vietnam and Australia were on display at the fair, jointly held by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and the ACIAR.
