At a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Huong Nam, Mr. Parry spoke highly of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan’s upcoming official visit to his country. Ambassador Nam praised the Cooperative Agreement signed in 2013 by both the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Australian Senate. The same day, Mr. Nam met President of the Australia-Vietnam Friendship Association Andrew Wallace, who promised to make further efforts to contribute to the ties between the two legislatures and peoples and to boost economic and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and the State of Queensland.
