Awards honor Vietnamese talents nationwide

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Talent Awards 2017 were presented in Hanoi on Thursday, honoring persons with practical inventions and initiatives.

The top winner in IT was a team from Da Nang’s Duy Tan University, who created a program that uses 3D virtual reality technology to simulate the human body for health sciences, education and research activities. Addressing the awards ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the awards have encouraged learning and creativity among people of all ages: “A learning and creative society is an ideal environment for the development of Vietnam and also an important driving force for building a growth-enabling and action-oriented government. The government’s determination and actions will be reinforced by your creative solutions and initiatives”.

Nearly 290 IT-related entries were submitted to this year’s contest, the 13th contest so far.
