(VOVworld) – Experts from the IMF, the European Central Bank (ECB), and the European Commission (EC) have reached positive assessments regarding Egypt’s economy.
It’s the premise for the Eurozone and the IMF to consider disbursing its suspended aid for Egypt. The report said the Egyptian government has committed to ensure the health of the banking sector, which was the reason for Athens to not receive its 8.5 billion euros in aid over the past 5 months. Egypt’s financial activities have been on track to meet the donors’ requirements.
If the Eurozone and the IMF accept the report, Egypt will receive the 8.5 billion euros as part of the aid package of 240 billion euros agreed by donors in 2010 and 2012.
