Book on sacred animals in traditional architecture released

(VOVWORLD) - A book portraying sacred animals in traditional architecture was released in Hanoi on Tuesday, serving as valuable reference for cultural research and preservation.

The book features  images of the dragon, the phoenix, the unicorn, the turtle and several other animals used in Vietnamese pagodas, temples, and royal tombs as well as the architectural sketches of famous cultural and historical relics in Vietnam. 

“This book will help preserve and promote Vietnamese culture. The architectural sketches of famous relics are an invaluable cultural asset,” said President of the Vietnam National Cultural Heritage Association Luu Tran Tieu.
