British ambassador to US resigns after Trump criticism
(VOVWORLD) - After several days of intense criticism by US President Donald Trump, who said his administration would no longer work with him, British ambassador to the US Kim Darroch on Wednesday resigned his post.
On Sunday, the UK’s the Daily Mail published a batch of confidential diplomatic cables and memos that Darroch had sent back home since 2017. In them, Darroch provided candid assessments of the political situation in the US and his impressions of the Trump administration and the President himself. Darroch called the Trump administration inept and dysfunctional and said the President radiates insecurities.
